Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actor and producer who is best recognized for her roles performed as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She received an B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a writer and American actress active in theatre in film, television, and theatre. Aunjanue. Ellis started her acting career in the theatre. Then, she appeared in television shows along with independent and mainstream films. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and a variety of nominations and awards including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. She started her career acting in 1995 as Ariel in The Tempest. She's appeared on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Film-wise she is most famous for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. For her work on television she's received praise for her performance as the regular character in ABC's drama about cops High Incident.
